Leachianus from Pine Island are the largest and most massive insular geckos heavy-bodied with a relatively dark background and crisp usually clear white blotches, sometimes faint pink. Males can develop an extremely massive head.

The habitat, and habits, of this Iocality, are very similar to Grande Terre's, with very tall trees and intricate forest. As a matter of fact, Pine Island is the closest form to Grande Terre leachianus and is sometimes very difficult to tell apart for the untrained eye.
