Heavy-bodied and massive, these typically patternless giants range in color from golden yellow to olive green or brownish-black. Some individuals can be seen with thin white vanishing blotches along their sides and some with a weblike pattern over their entire body. With a bulky head, a massive trunk, Heavy limbs, and a long, thin tail, they can commonly be seen with very loose, hanging skin, especially on their head and neck region.Although sometimes territorial, once out of their enclosures, these geckos usually tolerate handeling quite well earning them the reputation of gentle giants. Some of the largest animals known to date come from this area.

The animals that originated the captive population were caught by Frank Fast back in the early nineties. Although sometimes territorial, once out of their enclosures, these geckos usually tolerate handling quite well, earning them the reputation of gentle giants. Some of the largest animals known to date come from this area, making this popular locality well-known among hobbyists and one of the most sought-after.
