The animals belonging to this locality are relatively rare at
the moment.
All the specimens comes from original animals caught in
the Mt. Dore, very close to Noumea, southern Grand
Terre, in the eighties and are possibly what has long been
considered the true southern blotched Grand Terre
leachianus.
With light cream to olive green/brown background
pattern, this form has yellowish-white bars along the
sides with sparse almost vanishing blotching on the back.
The labial scales are generally yellowish and the head
and body structure is typical of southern Grande Terre.
This locality can attain a big size as well, with the
original collected animals now in the 38 cm length range.
